Lyle Steffensen is a first generation migrant with a (very) mixed ethnic background who grew up in the apartheid era in South Africa, and came to Australia in the “Recession We Had to Have” when she was 15 with her parents and two sisters. Lyle’s passion for social justice, inclusivity and diversity is at the forefront of what she does as the Practice Leader for Marsh Care Solutions across Australasia.
In our Empowered Conversation we discuss the role shame plays in helping us heal. While every human being experiences shame not everyone will know when they are experiencing shame. So how do we deal with shame? Can shame and joy coexist? What about shame in the workplace? How do we begin to address this? It doesn’t have to be complicated. Lyle share’s her own wisdom in answering these questions and leaves us with powerful messages we each need to hear- now more than ever.
