Naomi Cao had a great start in Australia after escaping Vietnam with her parents in 1980. Despite the treacherous journey to Malaysia, her family settled in Sydney where Naomi built a successful life for herself.
But her life didn’t play out the way she imagined. Her marriage ended abruptly and she found herself navigating the ever-complex and “soul-destroying” family court system. She couldn’t afford lawyers to represent her in court so Naomi learned to negotiate divorce settlement her own way. She now uses her experience to empower women to negotiate what is best for their children while navigating the court system and re-establishing life again. In our Empowered Conversation she shares her insights and key lessons from this challenging but inspiring journey.
